Elite — sold as Longlast+ until Brita renamed it — is the upgrade that makes an American Brita pitcher worth owning. It fits every pitcher the Standard filter fits, is certified to reduce lead by 99%, and runs for 120 gallons rather than 40. Three Standard cartridges cost more than one Elite and do less, which makes the Standard filter hard to justify for anyone who has read this far.
